“They loved each other until the end… nothing could break them apart…”Yekaterinburg, this very minute. Late at night, two kids sneak into a church, unaware of the tale that lies beneath their feet. Led by the eccentric Pyotr Ermakov, we are taken on a journey through time, spanning the lives of the infamous last Romanovs—from the love at first sight of Russia’s last Tsar and Tsarina, to the hardships endured by a royal family scorned by their people. Along the way, the family will face fear, grief, and strife, but one thing remains certain—their love for one another is indestructable. A new and powerful piece of theatre staged in the round, REQUIEM is a story of faith, sacrifice, and above all, familial love.Performed in the Chinese International School Black Box Theatre (2024)

CLOSE
Written & directed by Alicia Harrington & Andrew Stevenson
Performed by Two Windows Theatre 雙窗劇團
Adapted from Federico García Lorca's The House of Bernarda Alba and Cao Yu 曹禺's Thunderstorm《雷雨》
"Needle and thread for women, whiplash and mules for men..."Inspired by Lorca’s The House of Bernarda Alba and the Chinese classic Thunderstorm, this intercultural and dual language play is centred around two families; one from the East and one from the West. With both families deeply rooted in cultural tradition, Close explores the psychological and physical destruction of women as a result of systemic oppression. Characters from different cultures are subjected to domineering parents whose trauma and control transcends generations. The non-linear narrative is presented in the style of physical theatre with elements of expressionism.Performed in the Chinese International School Black Box Theatre (2023)
Premiered as a touring act for the Adelaide Fringe at the Garage International; hosted by various schools across Adelaide as part of a specialised Schools Programme (2024)
